Not having such a good couple of days…I knew the holidays would be tough. I miss my momma very much. I realize it’s only been a few months since her passing, but I guess I expected a little more of myself than I have.
Tonight, one of our favorite movies is on — The Princess Bride. I’m watching it for the second time, through a veil of tears. I miss her so much. And that’s all I really have to say.
“Life is pain, Highness. Anyone telling you differently is selling something.”
Appreciate your loved ones. Even the ones that can be a pain in the ass. Especially your momma.

The Princess Bride is an awesome movie…
“Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”
[Inigo advances on Rugen, but stumbles into the table with sudden pain. Rugen attacks, but Inigo parries and rises to his feet again]
“Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”
[Rugen attacks again, Inigo parries more fiercely, gaining strength]
“Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya! You killed my father! Prepare to die!”
Count Rugen: “Stop saying that!” [Rugen attacks, twice. Inigo avoids and wounds Rugen in both shoulders, the same spots where he wounded Inigo. Inigo attacks, bellowing:]
“HELLO! MY NAME IS INIGO MONTOYA! YOU KILLED MY FATHER! PREPARE TO DIE!”
[Inigo corners Count Rugen, knocks his sword aside, and slashes his cheek, giving him a scar just like Inigo's]
We roll on the floor laughing over that one. Best scene ever in that movie!
i still miss and think about my dad, even though it’s been over thirty years since he left us. there are no words, netta. but i have a hug and a hope here for you anytime. x
